Lahore Eagles stormed into the semifinals of National T20 Cup Cricket Tournament after whipping Quetta Bears by nine wickets at National Stadium here on Tuesday.

Two southpaw test openers Imran Farhat and Captain Taufeeq Umer both hit half centuries to power Lahore Eagles in the knock-out with their third win row in group "A".

Taufeeq Umar returned unbeaten on 50 off 49 balls and his knock was laced with five strikes to the boundary. Imran Farhat's sparkling 50 in just 33 balls was studded with half a dozen boundaries and a six.

Earlier Quetta Bears continued their disappointing run in the event as batting first, they were bowled out for 125 on the final delivery of 20th over. Mir Wais made 30 in 36 balls with two boundaries and one six.

International Junaid Zia son of PCB Chairman Gen (Retd) Tauqir Zia, bowled tight spell and finished with two wickets 17 runs in four overs of medium pacers.
