Gold jumped by Rs 728 to close at Rs 48,985 per 10 grams in the local market Tuesday, as its international price also improved to $ 1,675 an ounce, market sources said.

According to Karachi Saraf Association official, tola (11.664 grams) price increased by Rs 850 at Rs 57,150.

Silver closed higher at Rs 968.52 per 10 grams.
