SC to be presented report on relief measures: CM Sindh

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah Wednesday said that the Supreme Court of Pakistan will be presented a comprehensive report about rain emergency and relief measures soon.

The Sindh CM directed the District Relief Committees to expedite measures to speedily drain out rain water from various rain and flood affected areas in Sindh on priority basis.

He said this while chairing a high level meeting of Coordinators to review the rain emergency and relief measures for rain affected people, held at CM House, said a statement.

Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that in the current situation, Sanghar and Sinjhoro towns be dealt on top priority basis, as there is big quantity of rain water standing since many days and there is no path for its draining out.

The meeting decided to continue relief activities in Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Naukot, Badin, Golarchi and other towns of Badin district.

The Sindh CM said that the Sindh Government has preferred to provide food, shelter, medical facilities and clean drinking water to rain affected people of 13 affected districts on emergent basis, while it is much needed that all departments should work in coordination to help the affectees in this crucial time.
