Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan Saturday termed allegations, levelled by Afghanistan against Pakistan regarding assassination of Burhanuddin Rabbani as false and baseless.Talking to media after inaugurating Social Media Centre here she said, “ Afghan allegations that Pakistan is behind the assassination of former Afghan President Burhanuddin Rabbani, are totally unfounded and baseless.”The Information Minister further said that in the past, all allegations levelled by certain countries against Pakistan, proved to be wrong and now these allegations would also meet the same fate.

She said Foreign Office and other concerned departments are examining the issue and would soon give a formal reply in this regard. She said the same would also be shared with the media.
Firdous Ashiq Awan said Pakistan is utilizing all its energies to fight against menace of terrorism in order to ensure durable peace in the region.
Regarding All Parties Conference (APC), called by Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, she said a parliamentary committee would be set up to implement decisions of the conference.
