The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) on Tuesday, in its 20th meeting of the executive board, approved performance-based contracts to the players of National Pool.

The “incentive contracts” programme will be applicable to players with effect from July 1, a press released by the federation said.

The most notable players missing from the list of contracted players are Rehan Butt and goal-keeper Salman Akbar.

Players put in category ‘A’ of Rs.50,000 players are: Sohail Abbas, Waseem Ahmed, Shakeel Abbasi, Rashid Mehmood, Fareed Ahmed, Muhammad Imran and Muhammad Waqas.

Players placed in category ‘B’ of Rs.40,000 are: Abdul Haseem Khan, Muhammad Rizwan Senior and Muhammad Irfan.

Players put in category ‘C’ of Rs.30,000 are: Muhammad Zubair, Shafqat Rasool, Muhammad Tousiq, Syed Imran Shah, Syed Kashif Shah, Muhammad Rizwan Junior, Ali Shan and Muhammad Umar Bhutta.

Junior players including Tasawwar Abbas, Muhammad Bilal Qadir, Muhammad Suleman, Muhammad Irfan, Muhammad Umair and Mazhar Abbas will be given Rs.15,000 each.
