PNL-N chief visits Nawabshah

The Chief of Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) Mian Nawaz Sharif arrived here on Thursday on a visit to the flood affected areas.

Addressing a public meeting at Daulatpur, District Shaheed Benazirabad, he said that the heavy rains and subsequent floodings caused a great deal of devastation.

The PML-N chief said that standing crops have been destroyed and houses damaged. He stated that he and his party were with the flood victims in this hour of need and would contribute to their rehabilitation.

Mian Nawaz Sharif said,” We have distributed 625 truck-load of relief goods among the flood-hit in the 12 districts of the province of Sindh. He pointed out that the relief goods include: atta, rice, pulses, tea and other items of daily use.

He alleged that sufficient measures had not been taken for provision of relief to the flood victims. He stated that it is public money and should be spent on them in the hour of need.

The PML-N chief said that best academic institutions should have been established in the district and that a lot should have been done for the poor people. He said that the country is facing a number of problems like prolonged load-shedding and that the economy is in a bad shape.

He asked the people to join hands for the progress and prosperity of the people. PML-N leaders Rana Sanaullah, Dr. Asif Kirmani, Mamnoon Hussain, Syed Ghous Ali Shah and Saleem Zia were also present on the occasion.
