IG FC seeks illegal arms, vehicles; immigrants free Quetta

Inspector General Frontier Corps Balochistan Major General Obaidullah Khan Khattak has said that peace could be restored in Quetta within one month provided government declared the provincial capital illegal out-of-bounds arms, vehicles and immigrants.

Pakistan has credible proves of Indian involvement in Balochistan's unrest through Afghanistan. He said this while talking to media persons.

ISAF forces and Afghanistan has been taken on-board on gravity and sensitivity of the issue. "The situation in Balochistan is very complex as it has challenges on many fronts," he said adding the soil of Afghanistan is being used by the India to sabotage the peace process in the province.

He noted that the anti-social elements are being trained, equipped with weapons and provided with the financial support by the foreign elements.

He inter-linked the peace of Afghanistan with Balochistan. "it will be impossible to restored peace in Balochistan unless the same it can not achieved in Afghanistan,"

"We have raised this question with the authorities of ISAF forces in Afghanistan," Major General Khattak added.

Expressing his grave concern over the growing incidents of violence in recent past, he said that the people among us providing shelter to those elements who are looming at large. "Security forces only with the help of people can restore peace and overcome anti-state elements in the area" he added.

Terming it an alarming situation, the IG FC said that security forces have credible information that the 3 to four banned outfits have coordination and links to carry out attacks based on their common goal of terror.

He also expressed his grief and sorrow over the loss of human lives in the suicide and others arm attack in Balochistan and prayed Allah to grant courage to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss.
