Bye-polls on PP-220 in Sahiwal held today
Tough competition between party candidates is expected as bye-elections for Punjab provincial assembly seat are being held on Sahiwal's PP-220 constituency on Thursday.
According to a private news channel, Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz candidate is facing stiff competition from PPP and PML-Q's joint candidate for the seat.
The office was vacant after PML-N's MPA Walayat Shah Khagga was disqualified by the Lahore High Court for his fake degree.
For the bye-polls, the PML-N has given ticket to his son Khizir Hayat to contest elections against Muzaffar Shah Khagga, the joint candidate of PPP and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e- Azam.‑
