Admiral ® Fasih Bukhari assumed charge of Chairman National Accountability Bureau on Sunday, said a notification issued by NAB.Fasih Bukhari was appointed by President Asif Ali Zardari on the advice of Prime Minister in consultation with Opposition Leader in the National Assembly.

According to a notification issued by the Federal Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, on the advice of Prime Minister the President made the appointment under Section 6(b) of National Accountability Ordinance, 1999 with immediate effect

.The President made the appointment after consultation with Leader of the House and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly.
