Political heat in country untimely, unwarranted: PM

Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday said that the “political heat”created in the country was untimely and uncalled for.“We need more stability in the country and we have to strengthen the economy as people expect us to exhibit more political maturity”, he said while talking newsmen at the inauguration of 6th Expo Pakistan 2011 at Governor House. He said that the nation was not ready to accept any unconstitutional step like national government as the similar drama had been repeated several times in the past.
The nation is now more sensible and will not accept any unconstitutional act, he noted.Referring to a comment of senior politician Pir Saheb Pagara, Gilani said that Pagara Saheb was senior to him and he would request him to change the date of his call.
Replying to a question regarding the United States, he said that Pakistanis were a sensible nation and a sensible leadership was at the helm of affairs in the country. He said the government would raise the issues at diplomatic level when needed.
