Polio virus has been confirmed in five children of different areas of North Waziristan Agency.

Talking to a private news channel, Agency Incharge Anti-polio campaign Dr Khandad said that polio virus has been confirmed in five children including four baby girls at the main laboratory of Peshawar.

The children are aged between one-and-a-half-year to three years. Dr Khandad said owing to deteriorating law and order situation anti-polio teams were unable to come to there as a result polio virus was spreading.

The samples of two dozen more children have been sent to the same laboratory for test, he said.
