Expressing heartfelt and profound grief over sudden demise of former first lady, Begum Nusrat Bhutto, a number of political personalities said that she laid down unparallel sacrifices for the supremacy of democracy.

Talking to media on Monday, they said she never gave into the atrocities and adversities she came across in the line of her responsibilities for the welfare of Pakistan and its people.

PPP leader Taj Haider said that late Begum Nusrat Bhutto was a `Great Lady', and the nation will always remember her services for the hegemony of democracy.

Senator PPP Lashkari Raisani said that "I pay tribute to Begum Nusrat Bhutto for her durable democratic services to the people of Pakistan".

Dr. Mubashir Hassan, the founding member of PPP and the leader of PPP Shaheed Bhutto Group, said late Begum Nusrat never gave up in the hours of difficulties.

Former Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Qazi Hussain Ahmed said that she was a great woman as she bravely faced the judicial death of her husband as well as extra judicial deaths of her two sons.
