Students stage protest demonstration against flawed results

A large number of Intermediate Part II students staged a demonstration here on Tuesday demanding cancellation of their results as done by other boards of Punjab.Students, mainly of Asghar Mall College and Gordon College blocked Sixth Road and chanted slogans against the management of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE). They demanded cancellation of their results and re-checking of papers as well like the first year papers were being re-checked and the results would be compiled again.

First year students had also taken part in the protest demonstration demanding that action be taken against administration of colleges as despite the cancellation of first year results they have been expelled from colleges on the basis of poor performance.
On the assurance of Board Chairman Dr. Muhmmad Qasim that the correct results will be announced after 45 days, the students ended their protest.
It is pertinent to mention here that last week first year students protested in several cities of Punjab against the publication of wrong results on the internet. The protests led to the cancellation of results for several intermediate boards.
