WAPDA employees take out rally against privatization
A large number of employees of Water & Power Development Authority WAPDA took out a rally on Tuesday from power house to Jinnah Bagh roundabout where they set the tyres on fire to lodge protest against privatization of power houses and appointing outsiders as chief executives in distribution companies.
The protesting employees also staged sit-in and chanted slogans against the government.
Trade union leaders Nisar Ahmed Shaikh, Khalid Chandio, Ghazi Khan Lashari, Nadar Shaikh, Arbab Jatoi, Ali Muhammad Jatoi and others addressed the rally and vowed to opposed all such decisions.
