Bright light, at the end of the tunnel

The negative criticism about Imran khan’s party is going in vain. The height of disappointment from the current government is too high. We are ready to grab any opportunity that comes by. Yes we will follow Imran Khan like blind love.
We have lived under looters. We have tried Generals. We have believed liars. We have contributed to ‘Qarz Utaro, Mulk Sawaro’.  We have seen puppets as our Head of State. We have been ruled by killers. We have been robbed by thieves in respectable positions. We have been sold by merchants.
And now we have the stamina to live under that all-in-one package. But for some reason we cannot tolerate Imran Khan.
Being a Pakistani citizen facing hundreds of daily problems with education, work, family and the never ending pressure of everything around us.
These are the reasons why people may seem to hate Imran Khan.
He would stop aid from the U.S and we Pakistanis would die of hunger? Is it not a dignified death? Some people might just prefer dying at the hands of drones with their heads bowed towards the West.
Is he a religious extremist with a good cover? Who knows, but even if he is we are so used to religious fanaticism that there seems to be no harm in trying.
We have a history of giving everyone a second chance. Be it a Sharif or a Bhutto. The worst possible ruler has had his chance. But when it comes to Imran Khan, pessimists begin to shout and show us the worst possible scenarios that might come. But what is worse than living under a man who can vend his state, self respect or anything else for money.
Not to forget PIA, railways, HEC, the economy and everything in Pakistan is coming down to a halt except our Leaders' ever lasting smile. Does that give you some hope?
We will follow Imran Khan because we can glimpse light at end of the tunnel. We will support him because people have something to be united for. We will back him because he is the only option according to us. We have died morally and financially. We have stopped expecting anything. We need optimism, expectations and hope to live again. We need to dream.
Being anti-PTI but supporting no one will do us no good. If you are against the party why don't you suggest at least one person you would like to vote for? If you do not have any options and you do not intend to vote for the very reason, kindly stop spreading pessimism and doubts. Do not push us back into gloominess and despair. We have tried so many politicians. He has never been tested. So let us give him a chance? Let us dream and look forward? Let us rise from the deep trench of darkness?
We are on a lost ship and he is the only man we can call for help. Be it a pirate in disguise or Peter Pan. We need to put our trust in him. If we have lived and somehow survived in today's Pakistan, we can live in anyone’s Pakistan; hopefully happily.
