Dhaka Gladiators won the first Bangladesh Premier League defeating Barisal Burners by 8 wickets at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur on Wednesday.

Imran Nazir scored 75 and Alauddin Babu took one wicket. Gladiators overhauled the victory target in 15.4 overs for the loss of 2 wickets.

Earlier Barisal Burners set Dhaka Gladiators a target of 141 to clinch the final. Brad Hodge top-scored for Burners with 70 as the Barisal Burners made 140 after losing the toss. Shahid Afridi with 3-23 was Gladiators’ most impressive bowler.
