In a high-level meeting held under the chair of President Asif Ali Zardari PPP’s Nayyar Bukhari and Sabir Baloch were nominated as Chairman and Deputy Chairman Senate respectively on Saturday.

According to presidency spokesman, Farhatullah Babar, senior leaders of the ruling alliance Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain, Mushahid Hussain (PML-Q), Asfandyar Wali Khan, Afrasiyab Khattak (ANP), Senator Babar Ghori, Senator Tahir Mashhadi (MQM), Mir Israr ullah Zahri (BNP) and others attended the meeting held at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
