Karachi Stock Exchange: Mid-day update

KARACHI: On Monday until mid day, KSE-100 Index continued to fluctuate between positive and negative since market opening and was at 13,846.10 with a negative change of -30.87 and volume of 43,229,670 shares. High and Low were 13,906.75 and 13,801.29 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 57,503,021 shares with 293 total traded companies out of which 139 were up, 131 were down and 23 were unchanged.

Construction and materials sector was in the lead with a total traded volume of 21,221,283 shares and Lafarge Pakistan as leading company in that sector (7,997,074 shares) followed by Chemicals sector with a total traded volume of 16,581,102 shares and Fatima Fertilizer as the leading company in that sector (6,769,591 shares).

The three top traded companies were Lafarge Pakistan with a volume of 7,997,074 and price per share of 4.90 (0.06), Fatima Fertilizer with a volume of 6,769,591 and price per share of 25.15 (0.71) and D.G. Khan Cement with a volume of 5,938,818 and price per share of 42.67 (0.06).

The top three advancers were Unilever Pakistan with price per share of 7,224.00 (34.30), Bata Pakistan with price per share of 643.75 (30.65) and Island Textile with price share of 212.33 (9.02).

The top three decliners were Mithchells Fruit with price per share of 315.00 (-15.03), Philip Morris Pakistan with price per share of 140.59 (-7.39) and Shezan International with price per share of 210.01 (-6.13).
