The military says vandals have torched and scrawled graffiti on a Palestinian mosque in the West Bank.

Suspicion has fallen on Jewish settlers angry over the government's plans to demolish 30 illegally built apartments in the West Bank.

The military said a blaze was set in a mosque in Kfar Jabaa early on Tuesday. The graffiti read, “The war has just begun, you'll pay the price.”

The Israeli state says it will comply with a Supreme Court order to raze 30 apartments built illegally on privately held Palestinian land by July 1.
