ISLAMABAD: The Punjab police on the direction of Prime Minister Grievances Wing recovered a kidnapped girl Miss Mehwish Batool and arrested the accused Feroz Shah.

According to a press release of Prime Minister Grievances Wing issued here Tuesday, Abdul Hamid, a resident of Brooklyn, New York, USA had submitted an application through Consulate General of Pakistan, Community Welfare Section, New York stating that his 18 years old daughter Miss Mehwish Batool was abducted from Anarkali Shopping Centre,Jehlum in February this year by some unidentified persons, which has put the whole family in hell of mental disturbance.

In his application Abdul Hamid had said that the police was informed of the incident but they were not cooperating and had not given any response. He had requested for help in recovery of his daughter at the earliest.

On receipt of the application, the Chief Coordinator to Prime Minister, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani immediately took the issue with DG FIA Islamabad and asked him to take prompt action for safe recovery of the abductee.

In compliance of the directions, FIA headquarters, on June 19, 2012 submitted a report stating that the subject matter was dealt on top priority and was referred to the IG Police, Punjab. As per his report, the case was registered and the accused Feroz Shah was arrested. Subsequently the kidnapped lady Miss Mehwish Batool was recovered. The report said that Challan has been submitted in the court and the case is under trial.

The aggrieved family thanked the Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and Chief Coordinator for quick action in recovery of their abducted daughter. (APP)
