The Punjab health department has dismissed all fake news regarding the banning on poultry products. 

Recently, a notification started circulating on social media, saying that the deadly coronavirus has been found to be present in poultry.

The notification further said that the virus is more lethal to human life therefore, sale of poultry and other products need to be banned with immediate effects.

However, the Punjab department said that it has not issued any notification banning chicken products. The Pakistan Poultry Association too has termed the news to be false, saying that coronavirus has not been reported in any chicken product in any part of the country, local media reported.

The health department hasn’t issued any such notification and the one circulating on social media is “fake”, said Punjab Health Secretary Captain (retired) Muhammad Usman.
