ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi, on Wednesday, said in a statement that India is losing credibility at international forums due to its aggressive posturing, reported Radio Pakistan.

The FM said that India's objection to Pakistan's political map at the meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation's (SCO) National Security Advisers was rejected yesterday, which earned embarrassment for India. Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed territory, and there are also UN resolutions about the issue, the statement said and added that India violated the SCO rules about not raising a bilateral issue at the platform.

The statement came a day after Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval decided to walk out in protest from an online meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) during a speech by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on National Security Moeed Yusuf after the former's objections to Pakistan's political map, which was on display in the background during Yusuf's address, were overruled by the forum.

The FM in the statement said that Russia, being the host of the meeting, did not accept India's perspective and overruled the objections and added that India is facing isolation due to its behaviour at the international forums. Commenting on fuming tensions with China by the BJP-led Indian government. He also mentioned that Beijing repeatedly urged for talks for the solution of the Ladakh issue, but India took aggressive position and faced defeat.

Moeed Yusuf had said on Tuesday that Pakistan successfully defended its projection of the new political map in Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting while India’s Doval left the meeting disappointed as their objection was rejected.

Yusf's office also issued a statement on Tuesday, "spurious claims were rejected as it faced defeat after its formal objection to Pakistan’s new political map was overruled”.
