Pakistan’s pace bowler, Umar Gul has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.

According to details, the 36-year old made an announcement following the end of the National T20 Cup tournament between Balochistan and Southern Punjab. Gul represents Balochistan which lost the match by seven wickets.

Following the end of the match, Umar Gul thanked everyone who extended support towards him in his 20-year long cricket journey.

“During this journey, I have had the pleasure of meeting numerous people who have helped and supported me in some way. I owe a big thank you to all those who have supported me throughout my journey,” he said

Gul shared his thoughts on Twitter as well after the game.

“With a very heavy heart and after a lot of thinking, I have decided to bid farewell to all formats of cricket after this National T20 Cup. I have always played for Pakistan with all my heart and 100 per cent hardwork. Cricket is and will always be my love and passion.”
