Democratic presidential candidate eyes 270 electoral votes as counting continue in different states of United States (US).

According to details, Biden is leading the race for the White House with 264 electoral votes. On the other hand, republican’s President Donald Trump has 214 electoral votes.

Reportedly, there are around 600,000 outstanding ballots.

The final decision will come only after results are compiled from undeclared battleground states including Arizona, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Georgia.

Biden is confident that he has enough votes to become next president of US.

"When the count is finished we believe we will be the winners,” said the democratic candidate in a speech, just before results showed him winning Michigan.

Whereas, President Trump has alleged that elections have been rigged and has launched legal bids to stop the counts in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia and Michigan. Earlier yesterday, he announced to move Supreme Court to fight election results.

The Biden’s supporters have demanded counting to be continued.

The overall turnout is said to be the highest in 120 years at 66.9%. The election comes at a time when country is dealing with emerging racism and coronavirus pandemic.
