Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced its Umrah Policy 2020.

According to details, the national flag carrier has announced its new fares and rules under the new policy which will remain effective till end of this year.

The national carrier sets fare of economy class for Umrah pilgrims from Karachi at Rs91,000, whereas, Rs96,000 fares will be charged from other cities.

PIA has also set maximum baggage limit to 36 kilograms for each passenger travelling from Pakistan to Jeddah or Madinah. Moreover, passengers of executive economy class will be allowed to carry 40 kilograms baggage along with five litres of Zamzam.

In case the passengers have infant with them, 10-kilogram of baggage allowance is granted.

PIA has also started bookings for groups of Umrah pilgrims with minimum ten passengers. Starting from the date of departure, the validity of the air tickets will be 30 days.

Under the rules, PIA has also facilitated passengers in term of Change of Booking (COB) without any charges if it is requested seven days before the date of departure.

It is pertinent to mention here that Saudi Arabia had allowed all airlines to resume flight operations in the country since it was suspended seven months back due to coronavirus situation in the country.
