The first-ever COVID-19 case was confirmed in Pakistan on 26th February. Since then, a total of 386,198 Pakistanis have been tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection.

The viral infection that can cause severe respiratory illness is on the rise in Pakistan once again. The country has reported over 2,000 daily cases every day for the past two weeks.
In the last 24 hours, the highest number of new cases were reported in over four months as 3,306 tests returned positive out of 45,999 conducted. Of late, the coronavirus-related fatalities are also increasing in the country. At least 40 people died in Pakistan due to Covid in the last 24 hours.
