Coronavirus has dominated the news all year long and it still keeps affecting billions of lives across the globe. With over 692,000 new cases reported in the last 24 hours globally, the number of total cases has reached 71.1 million.
The death tally is also increasing daily. Globally, 13,141 people succumbed to the viral disease yesterday. The total coronavirus-related fatalities reported to date have reached 1.6 million. The number of people that have completely recovered from COVID-19 has exceeded 45.4 million.
According to the latest coronavirus statistics provided by Johns Hopkins University, the five most adversely affected countries are as follows:
