Global deaths from coronavirus pass 292,000, over 4.34 million infected

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases worldwide crossed 4.34 million on Wednesday.

Around the world the pandemic has killed more than 292,893 people and infected over 4,342,355. The United States has been the hardest-hit country, with 1,408,636 cases and 83,425 deaths.

According to latest data, 1,602,443 patients have recovered from the pandemic so far.

In United States, nearly 1,408,636 cases were confirmed, including more than 83,425 deaths. The US reported an increase of 1630 deaths in the past 24 hours.

Canada reported 5,169 fatalities and 71,157 infections due to coronavirus.

Italy, which recorded its first coronavirus death at the end of February, has 30,911 fatalities, with 172 people succumbing to the disease in last 24 hours.

Spain has recorded 26,920 fatalities with 123 deaths in a single day and 269,520 infections.

China -- excluding Hong Kong and Macau -- has to date declared 4,633 deaths and 82,926 cases, with 78,189 recoveries.

France has reported 348 deaths in a single day, taking the tally to 26,991 deaths and 178,225 cases.

United Kingdom has reported 32,692 fatalities with 627 deaths in last 24 hours and 226,463 infections.

Saudi Arabia has reported 42,925 cases of coronavirus, while 264 coronavirus deaths have been reported.

Kuwait has reported 75 deaths while over 10,277 people have been tested positive for the virus.

Turkey reported 141,475 coronavirus cases and 3,894 fatalities.

In Belgium, 8,761 people succumbed to the disease while Brazil reported 12,404 deaths due to the coronavirus.

Mexico has reported 353 deaths in a single day, taking the tally to 3,926 deaths and 38,324 cases.

Germany has reported 7,738 deaths and 173,171 infections.

Over 232,243 people have infected while 2,116 people died of the virus in Russia.

Israel has reported 16,529 coronavirus cases while 260 deaths.
