The number of confirmed coronavirus cases worldwide crossed 7 million on Monday.

Around the world the pandemic has killed more than 406,195 people and infected over 7,091,659. The United States has been the hardest-hit country, with 1,988,544 cases and 112,096 deaths.

According to latest data, 3,461,118 patients have recovered from the pandemic so far.

In United States, nearly 2,007,449 cases were confirmed, including more than 112,469 deaths.

Brazil now has the second-highest number of recorded infections in the world after the United States with 691,962 cases and 37,312 fatalities with 1,269 deaths in a 24 hour period.

Over 467,673 people have infected while 5,859 people died of the virus in Russia. The country has the third-highest number of recorded infections in the world.

Spain has recorded 27,135 fatalities and 288,390 infections.

United Kingdom has reported 40,542 fatalities and 286,194 infections.

India has reported 257,486 cases while 7,207 deaths due to the coronavirus.

Italy, which recorded its first coronavirus death at the end of February, has 33,899 fatalities, while 234,998 infections.

Peru has reported 196,515 cases while 5,465 deaths.

Germany has reported 8,776 deaths and 185,869 infections.

Meanwhile, the death toll is 8,281 in Iran as confirmed number of cases is almost 171,789.

Turkey reported 170,132 coronavirus cases and 4,692 fatalities.

France has reported 29,155 deaths and 153,977 cases.

China -- excluding Hong Kong and Macau -- has to date declared 4,634 deaths and 83,040 cases, with 78,341 recoveries.

In Belgium, 9,595 people succumbed to the disease while reported 59,226 cases due to the coronavirus.

Mexico has reported 13,699 deaths and 117,103 cases.

Canada reported 7,800 fatalities and 95,699 infections due to coronavirus.

Israel has reported 17,863 coronavirus cases while 298 deaths.

Saudi Arabia has reported 101,914 cases of coronavirus, while 712 coronavirus deaths have been reported.

Kuwait has reported 264 deaths while over 31,848 people have been tested positive for the virus.

Lockdowns begin to ease

Some parts of Europe have reopened schools and shops, meanwhile, UK called it was too early to follow suit as British Prime Minister Boris Johnson emerged after his own battle with the virus.

With some of Europe's worst-hit nations reporting drops in daily death counts, governments are exploring how to relax confinement orders exacting their own damaging economic and psychological tolls.

Italy, the first European country to go into lockdown seven weeks ago, began allowing some construction and factory workers to go back to work on Monday.

Starting May 4, Italians are exercising outdoors and visit relatives, but only if they respect social distancing and wear masks.

Restaurants can offer takeout and wholesale stores can resume business on the same day, with other shops following on May 18, along with museums and libraries.

Thousands of schools reopened throughout France on Tuesday as the government eases its coronavirus lockdown rules despite some fears of a second wave of infections.

Moscow has announced to ease the lockdown from June 1 while the United Kingdom has also announced to reopen schools in phases.

Dubai has also announced to open the parks across the country from May 29.
