Shein has been selling these prayer mats by labeling them as 'fringe trim carpets' for people to use casually around their homes. These Jai Namaz had pictures of Kaaba, Masjid e Nabwi and other holy places printed on them. Many customers, in their review on Shien's website, wrote that they have been using these 'carpet' around the home and are very satisfied by them.

However, after facing online backlash all the product pictures were removed from the website of the brand. The brand issued a half-hearted apology in response to the tweets directed at them by MuslimTwitter.

"Hello, we're very sorry about what happened. The products were immediately removed from our site as soon as the problem was discovered. We'll be more careful about the classification and display of our products. Sincerely apologize to all got affected."
