Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Rana Sanaullah has on Saturday demanded a ban on political parties running on foreign funding. He said that foreign funds have been used to destroy the country internally.

While speaking to the media outside the anti-narcotics court in Lahore, the former provincial minister said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has written confession of PTI that it received funds from foreign countries, therefore, the party should be held accountable.

“The money taken from Indian and Israeli lobbies was spent in Pakistan, and accountability of every penny will be held. Courts will soon hear cases against the selected group."

The PML-N leader was present at the anti-narcotics court to attend the hearing of a drug case against him. While addressing questions related to the drug case, he said that a fake narcotics case was lodged against him on the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Rana Sanaullah also said that the prosecution has not provided his counsel with case copies even after one and three-quarter years. "All fake cases will end by only one order and that time will soon come," he added.

The court has summoned him on February 4th for the indictment.

Drug Recovery Case:

The PML-N leader was arrested in July last year by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) from the Islamabad-Lahore motorway. The ANF claimed that 15 kilograms of drugs were recovered from the PML-N leader’s car. However, he was released on bail on December 26.
