Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiative Asad Umar on Wednesday shared that Pakistan has vaccinated more than 200,000 people against COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

In a tweet, the National Coordination and Operation Center (NCOC) chief said more than 5 million people have so far registered for the vaccination.

He urged masses to register themselves if they are above the age of 40 and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for protection from the novel disease meanwhile.

Current situtaion of COVID-19 in Pakistan:

Pakistan has reported 4,113 new cases and 119 COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours as the country struggles with the third wave of coronavirus.

According to statistics shared by NCOC, the country's nerve center for unified efforts against coronavirus, 44,838 coronavirus tests were taken countrywide, of which 4,113 came out positive.

There are currently 5,211 critical patients of COVID-19 admitted at different hospitals in the country. And the reported positivity rate is 9.17%.
