Rivers, reservoirs report

LAHORE:-The position of rivers inflow and outflow at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages on Tuesday was as follows:

Rivers: Indus at Tarbela-Inflows 21,500 cusecs and Outflows 42,000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 9,500 cusecs and Outflows 9,500 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla-Inflows 12,300 cusecs and Outflows 50,000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala- Inflows 8,100 cusecs and Outflows 4,000 cusecs.

Barrages: Jinnah-Inflows 53,600 cusecs and Outflows 46,100 cusecs, Chashma -Inflows 50,900 cusecs and Outflows 46,000 cusecs, Taunsa-Inflows 48,400 cusecs and Outflows 42,400 cusecs, Panjnad-Inflows 14,300 cusecs and Outflows 11,200 Guddu-Inflows 39,700 cusecs and Outflows 34,900 cusecs, Sukkur-Inflows 33,200 cusecs and Outflows 6,100 cusecs, Kotri-Inflows 5,990 cusecs and Outflows Nil cusecs.

Reservoirs Level and Storage: Tarbela-dead level 1380 feet, present level 1485.47 feet, maximum level 1550 feet, live storage 3.123 million acre feet (MAF) Mangla-dead level 1040 feet, present level 1199.55 feet, maximum level 1242 feet, live storage 4.436 MAF,Chashma-dead level 637 feet, present level 645.90 feet, maximum level 649 feet, live storage 0.165 MAF.

The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 am.
