LAHORE: Punjab Higher Education Commission Chairman Prof Dr Nizamuddin has said that psychologists must play their role to cope with psychological problems being faced by the nation in the prevailing situation.

He was addressing 14th International Conference of Psychology on "The Current Challenges for Psychology: From Crisis to Sustainable Solutions" at Alhamra Cultural Complex on Thursday.

Director IAP Prof Dr Rukhsana Kaushar, faculty members, psychologists from different parts of the world and country participated in the conference.

Dr Nizam uddin said that people were under stress due to the terrorism and violence incidents in the country which severely affected their patience level.

He said that relevant segments of the society must benefit from the services of psychologists to resolve these issues.

Dr Nizam said that associations of psychologists should come forward to ease tension and stress on the society.

As many as 24 scientific sessions will be organized in the conference which will conclude on March 21.
