KARACHI: A policeman deputed on polio workers' security was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Paposh Nagar during the door to door polio immunization campaign.

IG Sindh police spokesman said the policeman died on the spot. The incident took place near the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

The deceased was identified as Shah Meer, son of Ameer Khan. His body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
