Four SC benches constituted for next week

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan, JusticeNasir-Ul-Mulk has constituted four benches at the principal seat to hear a number of important cases during the next week, starting from Monday.
The first bench comprising Chief Justice, Nasir-Ul-Mulk, Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry and Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman would hear a number of important cases including Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority petition against Secretary Ministry of Petroleum, Evacuee Property case regarding sale of land to private school, application by Syed Adil Gillani, Advisor Transparency International Pakistan under Article 184 regarding land grabbing Mangove Delta of Malir River in DHA Karachi, NAB/Ehtesab cases regarding cancellation of bail, suo moto action taken upon the letter sent by Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed regarding Metro Bus Project, miscellaneous applications regarding rental power plants.
The Second bench consisting Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja, Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and Justice Maqbool Baqar would hear cases including President Marghallah Hills Society Roedad Khan petition under article 18, Constitutional petitions regarding missing persons, elections matters of three provincial assembly members, Secretary Punjab Bar Council report in lawyers case, educational institutions cases and Nasrullah Baloch application regarding Khuzdar case.
The third bench consisting Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and Justice Umar Ata Bandial will hear the cases including bails matters in different cases, compliance report of the judgment dated November 20, 2013 by Ministry of Religious Affairs & Interfaith Harmony and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), suo moto action upon an incident of firing and suicide attack in District Courts, Islamabad, Pakistan Supreme Court Bar Association petition for security of the lawyers community and the members of the judiciary and Constitutional petitions under article 184 regarding discriminatory treatment with the PCS officers.
The fourth bench comprising Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Justice Sh. Azmat Saeed and Justice Mushir Alam would hear the cases including import of plastic scrap case, Col. (retd) Muhamamd Akram petition regarding Amendment in Rule 13 of Pakistan Army Act 1952, applications regarding land reforms in Punjab, 3rd and 10th fortnightly progress report in ISAF containers scam, Suo Moto  action against grant of 450 & 200 illegal CNG stations licenses during the tenure of two Ex-Prime Ministers namely Syed Yousaf  Raza Gillani and Raja Pervez Ashraf respectively and miscellaneous matters regarding mismanagement & misuse of public money by writing of loans and interest.
On Friday, the formation of benches would change as first bench would comprise Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Justice Sh. Azmat Saeed and Justice Mushir Alam while the second bench would comprise Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and Justice Maqbool Baqar. The two-member third bench would comprise of Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry and Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rahman and the fourth bench comprise of Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and Justice Umar Ata Bandial.
According to case lists, no adjournment on any ground will be granted and no application for adjournment through fax will be placed before the Court.
If the counsel is unable to appear for any reason, the Advocate-on-Record will be required to argue the case.
