Blind persons protest continues

LAHORE: Visually impaired persons continued their protest on the second consecutive day on Tuesday outside the Punjab Assembly to press their demands for provision job opportunities  and confirmation of services of ad-hoc employees.

Punjab government spokesman Zaeem Hussain Qadri held a meeting with representatives of the protesting blind persons and assured to resolve their issues upto March 31.

He said the government gave high priority to the welfare of visually impaired persons and  their all genuine demands would be  accepted.

However,blind persons vowed to continue their protest till practical steps were taken regarding their demands.
