Govt to strengthen intelligence network to curb terrorism
Islamabad: A high level meeting, presided by PM Nawaz Sharif, held at Islamabad on Thursday night to discuss the latest wave of terrorism and its aftermath across the country. Terrorist attack in Banu,Peshawar,Rawalpindi,Mastung and Karachi were strongly condemned in the meeting.
In the meeting, Government took decision to strengthen the intelligence network and discussed the Anti-Terrorism act to bring the culprits into book, Aaj news reported. It was also decided that quick response team would be formed to cope the terrorism.
Domestic security and Inter-Provincial coordination with respect to intelligence would be enhanced, meeting decided.
The meeting attended by Interior Minister Chaudhry  Nisar ,Minister for defense Khawaja Asif ,DG ISI Lt General Zahir-ul-Islam and other high level security official.
On the other hand, Army chief General Raheel Sharif met with PM Nawaz sharif and discussed the measures to halt increasing terrorism and others issue relevant to security matters.
It is pertinent to mention here Mastung Tragedy has crippled the various city including Karachi due to sit-in staged by protestors.
